International Conference "Creative industries: past, present and future"
The International Francophone Institute (IFI) cordially announces the International Conference "Creative Industry: Past, Present and Future" taking place on August 11th, 2022 in Hanoi. The event is a part of the series of interdisciplinary seminars "Diderot Advanced Academic Seminars" initiated by IFI and sponsored by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Creativity is one of the keywords of the current smart development trend associated with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the digital economy. Today, creativity is no longer limited to activities associated with individual skills, but also is becoming a dynamic field including many aspects and factors such as economic, social, aesthetic, and environmental,...

In a broad sense, creativity includes activities originating from the ideas, skills and talents of individuals, with the potential to create wealth and jobs through the exploitation of intellectual property rights. In other words, creativity has become an industry.

The International Conference "Creative Industry: Past, Present and Future" aims to (1) clarifying the concept and experience of developing the creative industry in a number of countries; (2) analyzing the forms of contribution and the particular factors of Vietnam's creative industry, as well as (3) providing recommendations and proposals on making the creative industry an important part of the Vietnamese economy through incentive policies and innovative management models. Topics of the Conference include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing creative industries in Vietnam and practical experience from developed countries
  • Vietnam’s creative industries in the process of integration
  • The role of the state in promoting the development and competitiveness of creative industries
  • The association between individuals, organizations, the state and enterprises in  developing creative industries
  • Creative industries in association with the national and local cultural identity
  • From creative products to the process of production and commercialization
  • Opportunities and challenges facing the creative industries in the new age
  • Initiatives in the creative industry sector
  • Copyright issues in the creative industries.

Qualified papers of the conference will be published in the Proceedings of the DAAS Conference Series 2022 (with ISBN and ISSN numbers 2734-9969) and excellent papers will be published in Francophone Community Science Publications in Asia-Pacific (International ISBN and ISSN 2525-2488).
