IFI: Workshop on Feedback for Bachelor's Degree Programs Enhancement

The workshop aimed to enhance the undergraduate training programs and involved education experts from universities offering related programs, representatives from leadership of businesses employing labor, experts/lecturers in the specific fields of the two programs, former master's degree students of IFI, and IFI staff and lecturers. Participating universities and businesses included: National Economics University (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Huy Thông, Head of Marketing Department), Hanoi University (Dr. Đặng Việt Hoà, Deputy Head of the French Department), Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Yến, Deputy Director of the Institute of Postal Economics, Head of the Marketing Department), MBBank (Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy, Director of MBBank Cambodia), SHB Bank (Ms. Đặng Thị Châu Giang, Director of Product Marketing), CEN Group (Mr. Trần Văn Hùng, Vice Chairman), SonKim Group (Mr. Trần Việt Huân, Technology Director), Golden Gate Group (Mr. Tăng Chí Minh, Director of Audit and Compliance), Omeez Joint Stock Company (on growth collaboration) (Mr. Lê Tiến Dũng, CEO) - Omega Media Group. Experts included: Ms. Trương Quỳnh Liên, Deputy Head of Projects and Operations Department, Foreign Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Communications; Dr. Nguyễn Minh Nguyệt, Communication Expert; MSc. Nguyễn Đình Thành, Communication Expert, etc. Former students from master's programs in Digital Communication and Publishing (INFOCOM), Banking, Finance, and Financial Technology (FINTECH) at IFI also participated.
In his opening speech, Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of the International Francophone Insitute, emphasized the development direction and strategic vision of the unit: "IFI continuously innovates in training, research, and asserts its pioneering position in international, interdisciplinary education and research, aiming to become the leading education and research institution for the French-speaking community in the Asia-Pacific region. In the future, IFI will continue to develop new missions, affirming the core values of the unit: Pioneering - International - French-language - Multicultural - Interdisciplinary - Social responsibility."
As a training unit within VNU and tasked with fulfilling its training mission, IFI is gradually refining and developing its research direction, implementing new areas based on its strengths in information technology, communication, and business. Based on the evaluation of labor demand in Vietnam, the region, and the world, IFI recognizes the need for training in the fields of Digital Communication and Digital Marketing, and Digital Business. These are emerging fields in Vietnam and globally.
The head of the department hopes to receive feedback from experts, scientists, representatives of businesses, and former students on the program's learning outcomes, curriculum framework, and other requirements for a pioneering, high-quality training program that is suitable for the training level and meets the highest demands of the labor market. Based on this feedback, IFI will refine the programs.
Mr. Đào Tùng, Director of the Office of Academic & Student Affairs, introduced the history of formation, training experience, lecturer resources of IFI, domestic and international lecturers from IFI's partner universities, laboratories (Labs) in communication, business, digital technology, and other resources of IFI. This affirmed that IFI has special resources and capabilities suitable for implementing the training programs.
After the general workshop session, experts and participants split into two specialized sessions for the two programs. Here, after hearing the representatives of the drafting team present the key points of each program, experts contributed important and useful opinions to improve the programs.
The Bachelor's program in Digital Business aims to train high-quality human resources to meet the needs of employers in various diverse fields such as commerce, logistics, supply chain, banking, finance, auditing, accounting, and companies operating in financial technology (Fintech)… or independent consultants.
During the workshop, the Bachelor's program in Digital Business received feedback from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Huy Thông, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Yến, Mr. Trần Văn Hùng, Mr. Trần Việt Huân, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy, experts, lecturers, and former students of the Fintech master's program.
The Bachelor's program in Digital Communication and Digital Marketing aims to train professionals in the fields of communication, multimedia design, digital communication, and digital marketing. Upon completion of the program, students should have the ability to design, develop, and produce digital communication content; and have the capacity to participate in or manage projects and operations in the field of digital communication. In addition, students should have the knowledge and skills to take on positions related to digital marketing for the products and services of organizations and businesses.
The feedback session for the Bachelor's program in Digital Communication and Digital Marketing received input from Dr. Đặng Thị Việt Hoà, representative of Hanoi University; Mr. Tăng Chí Minh, representative of Golden Gate Company; Ms. Đặng Thị Châu Giang, SHB Bank; Mr. Lê Tiến Dũng, CEO of Omeez Company; Ms. Trương Quỳnh Liên, Foreign Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Communications; Mr. Nguyễn Đình Thành; Dr. Nguyễn Minh Nguyệt, and former students of the INFOCOM master's program.
Closing the workshop, Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of IFI, emphasized the importance of developing undergraduate programs in Digital Business and Digital Communication and Digital Marketing to meet future societal needs. Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng also expressed gratitude to the experts, scientists, and businesses for their valuable and practical contributions to help the department improve the two training programs.
